Terms and conditions of use – Personal data policy (content March 2020)

Preamble

Your privacy is important to us, and we take the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with the relevant legislation (Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (hereinafter DPA RS 235.1), and where applicable the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter GDPR). This document informs you about the processing carried out on this site and about your rights.

Collection and storage

We collect and store your personal data in a proportionate manner, i.e. to the extent necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations and ensure high quality services, i.e. for the purposes of customer relationship management, order processing and follow-up, invoicing and follow-up. To order our products, you can either create an account or not.

Contact forms

When you contact us via the form for a general question, you must include your title, surname, first name and e-mail address. An order form is also available. These forms are stored on a secure server for processing and tracking purposes. No personal data concerning you is transmitted to third parties, apart from the service providers essential for processing your request (the carrier for orders, the banking institution for payments).

Cookies and statistical tools

We collect the IP address of our visitors, for analysis and continuous improvement purposes, etc. We use two types of cookies, some of which are essential for accessing information on the site, and others which enable us to offer you better browsing and improve our pages. You can set these here.

Right of access

In accordance with the DPA, you have the right to access your personal data (including rectification and deletion). To assert this right, you may contact the Data Controller either via the online form or by post: Villars Maître Chocolatier – Rte de la Fonderie 18 – 1700 Fribourg – Switzerland Customers residing on European territory have the same rights, as well as portability, pursuant to the RGPD, which is applicable to the processing of their personal data, to be asserted with the above-mentioned Data Controller.
